  • So who told the deer hunting season started today?We have pictures of a ton of deer and at least 6 different bears at all times of day.they have devoured the corn,apples,deer cane.but i sat in my stand from 6am to 11 am and from 3pm to 8 pm didnt see anything.Hope you had better luck than me.i did see some squirrels.and a flying squirrel too.and i caught this fence lizard and brought it back for my son,he was the happiest of all of us.he thought it was a good hunt...

    big tom turkeywith a 10 inch beard and 1 1/4'spurs who i smashed with my mossberg pump 12 gauge.with my dad calling 40 yards or so behind me,i seen him coming for a long time before he turned and went up the hill away from me.till pops gave him hell with the call while he was gobbling.man he went crazy!diddnt like being interrupted like that.came charging back down there talking trash and got SMASHED..GIVE IT UP TO POPS FOR GREAT JOB CALLING HIM FROM AT LEAST 300 YARDS AWAY....

    Not to be a wise guy or anything but aside from the previously mentioned clearance issue you will have with a recurve.look out for the deer 20 yards away on the trail man..the blind is just camo.you are still hunting in the woods right?everything will be the same except you will have blind spots from you vantage point.LOOK OUT FOR THE DEER.seriously though i admire your efforts to take the animal with traditional weapons,good luck shoot straight.god bless
