Killer pigs and giant wolves roamin loose in Hyde County? Sounds like someone is tryin to scare away the huntin competition.
The problem is, no one will step up with a definitive reason why Sunday hunting is not allowed. If a reason were ever given, it could never be logically defended.I am a Christian. Do Christians only go to church and then home to rest on Sundays? No, they go to lunch, then possibly do some shopping, cut the grass. Me, I would hunt after church. I'm still going to go to church, but I am going to kill something afterwards (if so blessed). To each his own.Should laws be made based on popularity polls? Hell no. If that were the case no one would pay taxes.Let the biologist make their recommendations based on scientific evidence. That's the only way our wildlife populations should be managed. Not by religious groups or popularity contests.
I can tell you this. I would not buy a piece of property in a county for hunting that permits dog hunting. I stopped seeing any deer on my lease once the next property owner started running his dog through my lease. Even though this guy's dogs run through my lease, he has a problem if I walk on his property. Dog hunting is great for the dog hunters. It expands your territory without having to pay for additional land to hunt. And you don't have the accountability for your animals that you should. If you can confine your dogs to the areas you are permitted to hunt, then I've got no problem. But I put a lot of work and money into building stands, planting food plots, cutting lanes, etc. No, the deer are not mine. But, I put in the investment to attract them and I would hope to reap the benefit of my investment.
