i have both carbon express maxima hunter which are $140 a dozen and gold tip which are half that price are the carbon express are no better! i will say that if you are shooting aluminum arrows right now you are going to be very impressed with any carbon arrows that you choose 1)they are lighter and faster 2)they have alot more backbone to them you can miss hit a tree pull your arrow out it shoot it again, try that with aluminum. As far as broadheads go i like muzzy mx3 100 grain but i also love the new redhead gator 2 blade broadheads, i shot a doe with them this year and they make a sick entry and exit hole(you couldve stuck your hand through each one sideways) just a thought because they fly alot better than the muzzy do...but good luck in whatever you choose

A comment titled: theyre noisy in response to a report titled: Crossbow

i havent shot one yet that was quiet and they are no faster than a compound bow unless you want to spend about $1500 on one, but im just gonna stick with my drenalin. Plus i think they take the challenge out of the hunt, its hard to get within bow range of a deer but if you can get in range and be able to draw back and make a clean shot on a smart whitetail you have done something. Im not saying ill never buy one because i know one day i wont be able to draw my bow back but until that day comes around im going to continue to love the challenge of a compound bow

this is the kind of buck that fools people he has some big circumference measurements and id say he'll score mid 130s just a guess going by the picture...a picture is something that will prove you a liar though, id say if you are going to mount him shoot him because that is one heck of a buck for nc
