Thought I would share this....giant crappie my dad caught today out of lake reese on a shaky head jig don't know for sure what it weighed but it def is the biggest crappie I've seen in person
Saw this on southern trophy hunters page on facebook....Said it was killed in Tennessee by Rad Ellington of Jackson, TN 'It's head looked like a peacock buy his lower body like a turkey. The other turkeys would not come close to it' no beard and didn't gobble.....I've heard people say that a turkey and peacock would breed but never seen it till now lol. What is everybody's thought on this???????
Me and my dad decided to hit up a local city lake today a lake I really dont care too much for lol but Should considering I always catch some good ones there. Caught these 2 in shallow water on a craw type bait prob would have caught alot more but didnt get to fish long
Thought this was pretty cool........... not sure I would try it even on private land
Since there aint much goin on right now figured I would just post a few pics of fish from last year all were caught from a small lake in Chatham county
Well my dad was finally able to put down a good buck and his biggest yet he has shot alot of deer just not one with a decent set of horns. And I was in the stand with him to see it, we were hunting on a farm in Davidson county on the edge of a cut corn field he came thru at 7 headed to a area were alot of does are he stopped right behind a cedar tree and stood there for a couple minutes just looking into the woods and then finally he walked from out behind it and I made a bleat to stop him and dad dropped the hammer on him. by far one of my most memorable morning in the woods
Finally on the board no giant but its still a deer. Shot him at 7 this mornin came in following I think were a doe had walked thru stepped into the road bed at 60 yards stopped him and said lord help me make a good shot and dropped the hammer on him with my muzzle loader smoke cleared and he was still standing there thought I had missed then saw him start shaking then he fell over kicked a couple times and that was it
The deer are def rutting in my neck of the woods had a buck come thru this mornin chasing a doe and then this evening they were on the other side of the creek and in the creek running back and forth and grunting hard like I told GT this is the first time since killed my last nice buck with a muzzleloader 5 years ago that I have seen the deer rut this hard
Finally showed back up
Well I was sitting in my stand this morning watching a fawn in my corn pile when I hear something come tearing thru the cutover Then I hear a bark and it defiantly wasnt a domesticated dog then a deer starts letting out the deepest nastiest grunts ive ever heard and i can tell what ever is chasing and barking is attacking her then after a few minutes it goes silent so I sit up in my stand for about 30 more minutes then i get down as iam coming out about 100 yards from my stand were i heard the commotion there is a dead deer i looked at her for a second then left cause i didnt know if what attacked her was still there or not so when my dad gets home we go back and look again and she had been moved some and the coyote had started eatin on her hind quarters and as we inspected it some we could see a few bites on her neck and scratches. What I couldnt figure out is how a coyote could take down a good size healthy deer like that Unless it is BIG. Put my cam over it hoping to get some pics of the killer But now I really dont care if i kill another deer i just want to get rid of those dang yotes
Buck and fawn
Finally started getting bucks on my cam in daylight too
More does and fawns
Got 70 pics in a day but all does good thing is they are all coming in daylight
Pic we got last year on one of my friends property hopefully he will show himself this year because I know hes bigger
Was just wondering if anybody else uses peanut butter or vanilla as a bait?
Just got in from giggin some frogs with my bow needless to say I'am defiantly ready for a deer lol
Why is the season opening up om the 11th which is a sunday and not the 10th?
caught this fish in a small lake near siler city on a weightless senko work in 6 feet of water caught it on a rod I actually use for crappie but needed something that would throw the weightless senko with ease so I used it took prob at least 5 min to land every time I would bring it close it would take back off but finally she wore down enough to where my dad could net it. caught several keepers and lost another one that would go over 5 so it was definitely a good day
Good luck to everybody goin hunting in the morning should be a good one
