We been on a good shallow water red fish bite. Sight fishing schools of 15-25 fish in the 5-15 lb. range. Days with sun and light winds make for the best conditions.
On recent trips we've seen a good number of trophy reds move into shallow water. Most of these area are close to deep water and inlets. These fish have not been 'spooky', but you have to get the fly or bait down in front of them. This often means through thick grass.
Smaller reds are numerous in the rivers - has the dry summer been a factor? The fish are often associated with structure and shrimp jumping for their lives.
The Flounder bite has been hot on the reefs. Alot of 2 -4 lb fish
