  • Weather Factor for the FLW Tour on Lake Hartwell

The FLW pros have practiced for three days on Lake Hartwell, but all they can talk about is “fishing lousy weather” on the opening days of the tournament.

“Fishing lousy weather” may consist of cold rains, howling winds, and 30 degree temperatures for the opening days of the tournament. It will definitely separate the fair weather fishermen from the hardcore anglers in a hurry.

Brent Ehrler, the 2012 FLW winner on Lake Hartwell, said in a recent interview, “… the weather is probably going to be the biggest difference, although the water levels could affect the tournament a little bit.”

Nick Gainey (see pic), FLW South Carolina pro from Charleston said, “With the weather turning nasty like they are predicting, I think that it is going to be difficult to catch a limit of quality fish.”

To catch all the fishing action, join the FLW pros at the takeoffs from the Clemson Marina located at 150 Clemson Marina Drive, Seneca on Days 1-3 (Thursday- Saturday) at 7:00 a.m. and on Day 4 (Sunday) at 7:30 a.m.

The weigh-ins will be at the Clemson Marina on Days 1 & 2 (Thurs. & Fri.) at 3:00 p.m. and at the Seneca Walmart located at 1636 Sandifer Boulevard, Seneca on Days 3 & 4 (Sat. & Sun.) at 4:00 p.m.
