I started hunting 2 seasons ago so I am new at the game. Last season I wanted to try turkey hunting, we had a friend that had property offered it to us to 'give it a try' well it was a bust. I am trying to find some good land to hunt. I have been around the Harris land but not to sure about public hunting. Can anyone offer some advice please to a newbie. I may have not been lucky enough to harvest anything yet but am addicted to the sport and I know in time I will be able to say I go a gobbler down.. HELP :-)

First I guess I should warn you, once you kill that first gobbler theres no turning back, you will think about turkey hunting during deer season, squirrel season, while your catching fish, pretty much nonstop,LOL. At least that's the way it is with me. I love it. I think the best advice on hunting gameland is just get out and walk it over and over listening and looking for sign. Learn the area and the best spots for setting up before the season even opens. The easiest spots are going to be the most pressured. I like to try to find spots that everyone else has overlooked and learn my way into these spots in the dark, because things look a lot different in the dark than they do at the break of dawn. Practice calling and find what call you are most comfortable with and can use the best. A good helpful video to watch is Gobblintoms video he had on here last year about using his pot call,The Spursuader. He has made me a few of these and they really do bring the gobblers in. I have killed 4 in two years, including a double beard, thanks to this call. I guess this is more advice than you were wanting, lol. Hope it helps. Good Luck
