Ok so after giving up on hunting due to not having any good private land to hunt on. I have lucked up on a good spot and now I am trying to scramble to get everything ready for this season. Does anyone know of a good place around here to get a decent rifle? I would prefer going to a local place like a pawn shop or locally owned sporting goods store over dicks sporting goods. Oh and bye he way I live in Garner NC

I bought a Remington 770 from Walmart 2 years ago for by son. I ended up using it more than him. It is a good shooting gun. It comes in various caliber and includes a scope. You should be able to get one for around 350.

Not sure where you are located but like previously posted Fuquay Gun & Gold is a great shop. If in this area you might check out Perry's gun shop or Springhill Outfitters. All of these have great service and prices. I call on just about every major gun shop in the state.

I would check my local listings on Armlist...I bought a 40 Year old Model 70 Winchester 270 from fellow poster Bearice that he found on Armslist and I love it!!! It's like New and Guns aint made like they used to be. You can find some Great deals on there...I had a Mossberg 935 in Duck Blind Camo on order at Walmart and they said no telling when I would get it so I posted a Want Ad on Armslist and Bought a Brand New Mossberg 935 in Max 4 for waterfowl for $400!!! I love Mossberg Guns myself...As far as a new Gun...The prices at your Local Walmart would be hard to beat...I've bought several with zero issues.
