  • Fishing for Dream Event

Dillon Davis of Williamson did not catch the biggest fish at the Fishing for Dream Event on Lake Hartwell May 12, but you can’t tell it by the smile on his face.

The event raised over $15,000 for the Outdoor Dream Foundation to make hunting and fishing dreams come true for children with terminal or life-threatening illnesses.

Team Cameron, composed of Cameron Wooten, Jonathan Jones, Barrett Keel, & Keith Jenkins
(all under 15 years of age), was the top team in collecting donations of $3,400.

The winners included: Team Champion-The Dream Team, Chuck and Rick Johnson with Captain Rick Owen had the largest 3 fish limit of stripers/hybrids at 18.9 pounds.

Tripp Norton of Central had the biggest striper at 10.5 pounds.

Jordan Thomason of Belton had the biggest hybrid at 6.11 pounds.

Tucker Hudson had the biggest largemouth bass at 4.6 pounds.

Jacob Jordan of Belton had the biggest catfish at 3.7 pounds.
