I tagged out on the 8th day of the season and got it on video! Ya'll let me know how you like the video. I killed the turkey at 6:50 pm. This makes bow-kill turkey #5 for me over the last couple of years.

What would you say the best kill shot is on a turkey with a bow ? Above the drumstick or at the base of the tail feathers ? Im gonna try for one with a bow before season runs out.

    Shot Placement
I don't know which one is the absolute best but the shots I have taken have either been broadside or through the backbone as he was facing away from me. If he's broadside, I go straight up from the legs and straight across from the beard. Where that intersects is where you want to hit. If he's facing you, you want to aim just above the beard. And like you said, if he's facing away from you strutting, shoot him at the base of the tail feathers. Any of those shots will tear 'em up. Good luck!

Great Job gene!!! What head are you shooting? I see you shoot wrong handed like I do lol I know what you mean about having to twist and Turn at times lol Seems like they just know how to show up at the wrong angle huh? Is that a Athens Bow? Again Great Job!!!!

Thank you! Well the spot where I killed my two birds this year is fairly close to where there roosting and it's just a ridge they like to travel on. Last year, I killed my turkeys in fields so just set up where you think a turkey would like to be at. I prefer a field actually. I like to call every 15 minutes. I would rather hunt the afternoon/evening than in the morning, I just have better luck then. Good luck Sunday!
