Well, The Action is still Hot in the Turkey Woods...I ventured onto some Game-land Yesterday morning and instantly got 2 Gobblers Fired up looking for Love...1 is Closing the Distance with 3 hens when I meet 'Tim'...A Mountain of a Man that was on the same Tract of land as I was...after a quick Meet&Greet...He told me that he had never killed a Long-Beard before but has been trying 5 years...WELL....Being the nice Guy I am lol I assured Tim that today might be his day and in a few short minutes....The Gobbler shows himself with 3 hens and even though it took Tim 2 Shots...I made a Man very very happy and I'm glad...He took a great 3 year old Bird..I meet this Man and Called him a Gobbler to his Gun all in less than a hour...GOD is Great!!!

Today (Sat) I'm asked by a Ex-Coworker to 'Come Go Turkey Hunting with me'...You guys might remember that last year I called my friend Dexter his 1st ever Gobbler to his Gun on the very last day of the Season and that's who Called again so we go to the same spot as last year and it's dead!! We decide to check another spot on the way out and instantly get a response...In 3 minutes after we jumped in the Brush 2 long-beards come running Half-Strut to us and in the excitement Dexter wasn't aware that his ported mossberg Barrel was only 10 inches from my Ear when he shot...My hearing might not ever be the same and my ears have been ringing all day but He hit the Bird and it was also a great 3 year Old Gobbler...It was a accident I know but could have been worse...I was thinking 'Double' but Dexter had other plans it seemed...Anyway, Just wanted to share....Stay Safe!!!

    Passin it On
I think its great that you are passing on your love of turkey hunting. I don't know if you realize it or not,but you most likely aren't just passing it on to the ones you are hunting with,it will be passed on to people they help with the knowledge you are giving them and in the stories they share with their friends and loved ones about the hunt you helped them with. I was actually thinking today while I was in the woods myself that the stranger could have been sent your way by a higher power along with the gobbler you helped him take down. As my Dad would say,'Sometimes the Lord works in mysterious ways'.Congrats on calling two more in. Your a generous man.

    Great Story.
GT.. Sounds like you are having a blast this season. One of those years when every things right. I think it's great that you are sharing the talent and passion that God has given you with others. What a cool Game land story. Instead of it being a negative thing you flipped it and found joy in helping the gentleman with his first bird. Hmmm... Now if I could only figure out where you will be at tomorrow for my first bird. lol.. Just kidding. Hope that ringing in your goes away. That's a tough deal. Stay safe.
