What a nice day for turkey scouting in the mountains.I went to a few different places on gameland and found that the places that looked most difficult to set up,looked to be the most promising.Saw many deer tracks and some turkey tracks at on particular spot and some absolutely beautiful scenery. By the way,if anyone wants to invite me for a day of turkey hunting,I'm game, lol.

    That's awesome!!
I agree with you!!! That is some absolutely beautiful scenery!! Just because you didn't hear anything or see much..I would check back in a few weeks because the view would be worth it but I'm sure your effort will pay off...Heck I had 3 longbeards all around me during Deer season and now... Nufin!! I even put some scratch feed out and hung a camera...Coons all night and tree rats all day and a few Deer...Not 1 Turkey? I do know where we left a nice 1 last year though lol

Might be a little longer walk because this 1860 Boat I just got is a center console and I don't think it will fit under that Bridge with the water level as high as it is now but I know another way in HeHe..Just be patient!!! lol

Nice view what is the green crop? I Think the turkey would graze on it.

    Good luck to you all
Good Luck to you guys too.I don't know what the green crop is they have planted, looked liked healthy green grass to me.But directly beside it was soy bean crops that had been planted and dried up. I'm afraid that may be why I didn't see anything ,because this area does look so great that it may be over hunted and over crowded too when season opens. You can't shoot a bird with another hunter practically sitting in your lap, lol.

WOW....I an in awe of that first pic....You mix beautiful scenery like that with hunting Gods creatures and you have about the closest thing to Heaven on Earth.....The ocean sunsets around here are beautiful but they just do not compare IMO to the scenery provided in the Mountains....Just beautiful....I know you will be on birds come the season opener....Good luck with your scouting...Just please take some more pics lol....
