I'm kinda hoping to get a new bow this spring and like the looks of the PSE Stinger 3G. Anyone have any experience with this bow? I can't afford a $1000 bow so if I can find a used 'Stinger', I think I might could swing it.

It is a good bow to buy $ wise.
It is great for a youth or ladies or man bow. You can adjust the draw length and poundage on them a long ways. More than any other bow. They are compact feeling. The only thing is the cams are large, and tend to get tangled in briars easily. I found one used loaded for 300$. I shot it a year and then adjusted for my daughter. I got me another used loaded PSE a Citation II now and even though it is older. Is a bit faster and more balanced feeling. I think the more compact bows aren't near as forgiving. I prefer a longer bow. I grew up shooting recurves, fingers, instinctive, though. I won a older Proline bow from Ebay for 70$. And my other daughter uses it. She shoots as good as me. We have little competitions and it is one of our things!
www.just-archery.com affiliated with ebay. You used to be able to get some steals there. But think they shut site down, now. Just try ebay, you need to become registered user. And you need paypal to purchase.

    Longer bow
I'm with carpetrider......I think you'd be happier with a longer bow. I have a friend that wants to sell a left handed PSE. I can't remember what model it is but let me know if you're a lefty and I'll find out.

Justin, I wouldn't buy a Bow based on 'I like the looks of it' For example My Trapping Buddy got his Wife a New Chevy Camaro for Christmas because she LOVED the orange but now they are trading it in because she Hates that car...Said it rides like a Stage-Coach but anyway, I would visit a shop and shoot several and then find a used 1 like I liked that I shot...Some people change Bows like they change their Oil...Years ago I bought a PSE Baby G because of it's compact size...I hated that Bow..Once at full draw it would feel like a Toy and wasn't forgiving at all, I would barely move my wrist and it would want to do a 180...I'm like you as far as money goes but In my Honest opinion..The Assassin by Bowtech is the Best Loaded package deal out there!! I LOVE mine!! and since a New 1 is about $500 New, You could probably find 1 that's about a Year Old for around $300...Check out Archery Talk.com.......Good Luck

I have never had one but I have heard for the money it's a pretty good bow. Like GT said, you don't have to have the best of the best to get it done. I just ordered my first new bow since I got into archery. It is a new Hoyt Spyder and I got it at a really great price. My first $400 bow will killed plenty of animals just as good as this new one is going to do....I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the bows that have came out the last 3-4 years....As long as they are properly tuned you shouldn't have a problem. Just shoot them first. I shot 5 different brands for over 2 hours before making a decision so what feels good to me may not feel good to you....If you find one you like you can always check on Ebay...There are some great deal up there as well....Just check the reviews and comments first....

Ok you caught me lol....There is no doubt I think I will be more confident shooting this newer, faster bow but in the end in you put a sharp broadhead where it counts with any bow and it's gonna take them down...That is more where I was going.....
