  • Broad River Smallmouth

The smallmouth fishing on the Broad River hasn't slowed down any this winter. With the mild temperatures, the bite is as hot as ever, and even on the cold days, the smallmouth are hungry and feeding actively.

Mike McSwain with Broad River Smallmouth Guide Service (843-763-3805) has continued putting clients on the fish throughout the holidays and into the new year. And although most of the fish caught are smallmouth bass, a fair number of largemouth are also biting.

Soft plastics like Zoom Ultravibe crawdads, hard plastics like Excalibur crankbaits, and spinners like Mepps Aglia and Mepps Black Fury are all producing well at all hours of the day.
