Since I lost my hunting spot mid season,I thought I would spend the morning with a great friend and see if the crappie bite was on at one of my favorite crappie spots.Being on the lake at 8:00 was a lot like being in the woods....it was colder than, well, you know.lol.
We caught a few bass and a couple fat crappie. They haven't started back biting like they were back in Feb.,but I know it won't be long ,and I can't wait.
I had a nice morning fishing and can't wait to go again.

    Bass fishing
I see you are on a lake near Asheville, (you did not mention the name of the lake so I wont either.) My question is how is bass fishing on this lake? Are they smallmouth, spotted, or largemouth? I live near Asheville and I love to fish. Thanks for your time.

    Fishing
The bass fishing is pretty good on this lake.Thats actually how I started fishing on this lake, years ago. There are spotted bass and large mouth here also bream and talipia.I prefer the crappie because when they start biting you can catch some big ones. They actually have bass tournaments on this lake ,but I have never entered any.
