It was the last day of a hard 6 day hunt when everything came together. My boyfriend and I had gone down to eastern nc for opening day of bear season. Monday morning I had been seeing smaller bears, and of course hoping and waiting to see that big one. Tuesday morning I had seen a huge bear but it was too dark too shoot. The rest of the week I sat hoping to see that bear again and nothing. I was starting to give up. After talking about it we decided to stay and hunt saturaday morning. Sure enough come 7o'clock that bear stepped out and with the crack of my 30-06 the bear was on the ground. We had no idea how big the bear was. When we walked up to him, he was massive. The biologist came to the property and while trying to weigh the bear it stripped the gears out of their wench. So with another jack they were able to get the bear off the ground. With two scales he weighed in at 675 lbs. This was my hunt of a lifetime. I couldn't have asked for a better day.
