  • Lake Wateree-Drifting for Cats

    The catfish are biting on Lake Wateree and Capt. Rodger Taylor of Catfish On Guide Service said drifting the flats around the middle of the lake is catching lots of channel and blue catfish in a wide range of sizes.

    For anglers targeting really big blue cats, anchoring down with large gizzard shad for bait is the ticket.

    Bream heads and white perch heads are also great bait, and Taylor said white perch are better for staying on the hook longer.
