    NJ?
Are you really in NJ? Do you hunt in NC? Not trying to be rude - I'm relatively new to this forum and just tryin' to figure out why you ask about the deer herd here if you're in NJ.

    ok
Thanx for the info - meant no offense was just tryin' to figure it out.
As to the question - I know that in my area there are plenty of deer (too many lol). Last year did suck though - I blame it on all the acorns. It looked like the deer weren't moving much but they didn't have to come outta the woods or move around as much because there were so many acorns on the ground. I don't know if it was like that all over NC but in our area the acorns looked like they were piled up in some spots. My corn definitely was not getting hit like it had in the past. The only good movement I saw last year was during the rut. I hope I don't see an acorn this season. lol

@ Riderschoice, I Think The Deer #s Are Good!! In The Past (I Hunt on Gameland) Ive been alitte quick to Say The Deer #s Are Low On Publicland. But, Sofar The Past 2 Months In (Durham And Butner) Ive Seen Alot Of Tracks And Ive seen Deer (More Does And Fawns Then Bucks) All Over Publicland, so I Figure If Theres Deer On Gameland Then Theres Deer On Privite Land. I Think It Will Be A Good Year For Deer, And Also Coastal Bear. Good Luck!!
