My best friend Tim Batson took this hog Tuesday evening near Bolivia NC, it scaled 230lbs and measured 5ft 2in snout to rump; We got permission a couple of weeks ago to hunt a new track of property were the hogs had been tearing up a farmers crops this past summer, we normally bow hunt but Tuesday (2/7/12) I couldn't hunt..... and of course Tim being the GREAT friend he is.... he decides to go without ME! Anyways he took this nice sow with a double lung shot with his 270 and she still managed to run 70 yards to a thicket. Hogs sure are tough animals! (Learn to shoot Tim :)....)

Either our scales are wrong or others are not exactly telling the truth, she scale 230lb, I was guessing 250 to 300 dragging her out.

I WISH! It got dark after his shot (That's his story) so we went in the next day and track the blood trail.... soooo I got the privilege of helping to drag her out! YAY...NOT :)

    Congrats
Congrats Tim on a nice one!! I am hoping to get my first one tonight with a bow. We are not getting the pics that were back during deer season. Instead of a group of pigs were are just getting pics of one or two. However we have been getting consistent pics of a boar probably in the 100-125 lbs (Not very good at guessing weight of hogs) range that I would love to take. Hopefully I will have some post kill photos to post 2morrow!! I will attach a pic of the one I am after..
