  • Broadheads for turkey?

What is a good turkey braodhead to use. I currently shoot 125 grains for deer and I'm assuming I need to get something close to that for tagging a turkey. I know it will be a challenge but I have seen plenty of turkeys with more places to hunt. I have looked at Magnus. Please let me know what you guys think. Any help would be appreciated!!

    Turkeys
Hello BB Gun...For Body shots, Your Deer Set-up is Fine but I would Lower the poundage...The Best Body shot on a Turkey is when your arrow stays IN them...Like any wounded animal, They have a Will to survive!!! A Pass-through on a Turkey is bad News because they can get away from you in a Hurry and they DON'T have to Fly to do it!! And go off to die at Parts unknown....If your looking for a Head-Shot like you see on TV..Good Luck!!! My Turkeys don't come easy on Public Land so I'll stick with Knocking their Heads off with a load of Number 5s LOL...Look back in the Turkey Forum, We Covered Broadheads and shot Placement a week or so ago...Again...GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks so much GT!! Yeah, i got several private spots this year and not a lot of pressure, so I thought I would try it this year. The Remington with Pure Gold choke will not be far away though. Thanks again!!

Your Welcome BBGun and I don't Blame ya Buddy...If I had private Land I would Try a Bow also just for the added Challenge. I have a Crossbow Now and have been told that we can Bow-Hunt Turkeys on Sundays this Year on Private Land so GOOD LUCK!!!! I'll be looking for your Success Post
