hunted yesterday morning and finally had a good buck come into a scrape. after hunting over 30 days since bow season. ive seen very few deer and had only a hand full of bucks show themselves during daylight hours. i set up on a ridge line that boarders a swamp. figured with the high winds the buck should be moving and wanna stay in the lowland to be out of the wind. so i remembered i saw a scrape two days earlier scouting. at 8 40 i had a nice bobcat come right under my stand and ease off after smelling my jacket at the base of the tree. i was tempted to shoot him but figured the blackpowder would be to much bullet so i opted to wait. 5 min later i heard crunching and looked down and prob 5 feet away from the scrape i sat over was a nice 8pt eating acorns. i swung the gun around and shot him left handed at 15yds. he ran probably 45yds and piled up. measured out 17 1/2 in wide outside and weighed around 170lbs. finally glad to have some luck come my way. sure glad i didnt shoot the bobcat.
