I have a Gorilla...which I would not recommend for someone your size and I have a treewalker which I would recommend to anyone and everyone. It's super light and climbs great. Bites the tree lik eno other for stability and as much as they don't look so they're comfortable. I just ordered the seat pad for it so it'll be interesting to see even how much more comfortable it is. You can sit facing the tree if you want to and you can remove the shooting rail and front rail for bow hunting if you would like to. I just got it this year and love it.

Hey new to the site...um I just got a treewalker and i love it...its very light, and bites the tree great, its also really quiet in my opinion...im 6'3 225lbs and it fits my build....my other climber was a loggy bayou and it dont compare to the treewalker.

    Summit 180 Max SS
Hey jager, And Welcome to the Site CrossMan 23... Heres My New Summit 180 Max, I LOVE This Stand!! I have about had them ALL and this Summit is Like a Lazy-Boy in the Tree I'm 5'11 238 lbs and I went with this 1 because of the Titan Platform...I think the Goliath has the 6 Channel Platform as well but can't remember. I added the Footrest,Saddle Bags,Padded Straps and added my own Custom Camo and I hope it's the LAST Climber I will ever Need...Total weight is 26lbs but with the added Padded Straps, It made a world of difference in part because they are 3 inches Wide also..The Surround Seat is AWESOME...I sold the Tree-Walker to AvidArcher that he speaks of and they are SUPER Light Weight Stands And Very Comfortable as well...The Reason The 180 got the Nod was because of my weight and being 21/22 Inches inside Climber frame where the Tree-Walker was like 19 inches I think... but Both Are GREAT Climbers speaking from experiance. I will add....The 180 has the Oval Top Bar on the front (Hence the Name) and if your a short person its tricky climbing with because your Butt is so far from the Tree but with your hieght, it shouldn't be a issue...Of Course the 180 is a Dual purpose Stand (Face toward or Away from Tree) and its no Problem if you use the seat for Climbing...1 More thing...With the Surround seat, It has to be removed for Quiet Back-packing but no Big Deal 4 Simple Buckles...I carry my seat out anyway so it wont get wet...It folds up and Snaps together Neatly....Read Some reviews on Google...I just about bought a Lone Wolf but after my Buddy did and paid about $450...I'm Glad I didn't...I;m Not 18 anymore LOL....GOOD LUCK!!!!

P.S. Austin TreeStands...AKA Buckshot....Makes a Very Nice Climber as well and even though I love my Summit...The Buckshots are the Most Quiet Secure, Stable Stands I have ever Had...Still Have 1...The Aluminum Cadallac Model that faces the Tree....Google Buckshot Treestands and check them out also.

    Summit
I would go with the Summit Goliath.
i am 6'2' and 265 lbs and the Viper SS is just to small for me when I have to put on extra clothing. When it is hot I don't mind it but when I have to wear something thicker then it's just to small for me. You can't beat the comfort though....

    summit
Jager - I've used several types of climbers (haven't used treewalker yet), and in my opinion, summit is by far the best made, lightest, quietest, and most comfortable. I'm still using about a 10 yr old Viper original, and it's as good as new. I just bought the footrest and surround seat for it this year, and that stepped the comfort up a notch. I'm 6'2' 185 and it fits me well, but I'd say the 180 or the Goliath would be your best bet. Bought a summit lockon this year because of the success I've had with the climber, and I love it too! Good luck!
