Hey guys just thought I would share my new find/toy. I picked up a 1981 Chevy LUV Diesel with less than 90k miles. When I bought it, it had been sitting for over seven years. I put it on a trailer and pulled it home. Put some injector cleaner in it and fresh diesel and it cranked right up. I changed out all the fluids and turned up the torsion bars and did a home made suspension lift on the rear lifting it about three inches and stiffing it for the weight of the four wheeler. Then I picked up these wheels and tires for$75 and slapped them on for another couple inches. I took the bed off and made this flatbed so the four wheeler could fit in the back. But it looks like I won't be needing a four wheeler with this truck. I took it through a field to put out corn today and never spanned a tire even after all this rain. At almost 40 MPG and $500 invested i think its a good deal. My friends keep making fun saying 'are you gonna put a blind on the back and hunt off it' but honestly had thought about this old port potty I have to make a blind out of. Taking that and doing exactly that? We will see tho.

    TOUGH!!
Like I told ya in text...You Can't beat these Trucks...I have had 3 of them in my time and trust me...They are Tough!!!I would put the Chevy Luvs in the same category as a HONDA ATV...On the tailgate of the last 4x4 LUV I had, Someone had air-brushed across the Tailgate...'LUV'N Every Minute Of it' LOL...Never had a Diesel but the Gas ISUZU Motors that were in mine were Anvils!!!Mount you a Boat seat on the Cab and let me paint it up for ya like The 'NUGEs' Bronco LOL ..I Have 2 Toyotas Now 1 4x4 Tacoma and 1 2x4 gas sipper...Love the Yotas also

    Nice wheel hauler!
Nice wheel hauler but I'm still thinking the old NT would look great riding on the back of that thing!

Yea i would love to put that NT on the back of this truck, then everyone could see him. I haven't hardly been seeing anything over there. It's getting to the point where I am not having fun hunting anymore. So.. I have began to go to some of the other places I have to hunt now. I was getting real tired of not seeing anything. But hopefully when I go back I might get a shot at him. I am banking when it starts to cool down maybe he will be there? Guess I'll put up my camera and try to pattern him again.
