Hey guys I finally came up with a large target for long range practicing. As some of you may know I do pool work as a part time job. Well I was trying to come up with ideas for a target. After thinking for anwhile and trying to save some money in this project this came to my mind. I can get a 125 foot roll of 1/4 inch thick foam. It's supposed to be used to put on metal pool walls to protect the liner, but I had other ideas. I bought a roll of it, it stands about 4 ft tall and about 30 inches wide. It comes already rolled pretty tight and the foam seems to be the same thing that the block targets are built out of. Since it is rolled pretty tight from the factory it stops arrows at 10 yards no problem. The best part is it's pretty cheap, around 95 dollars, but try to price a foam target this size and compare. Very light for the size, maybe 12 pounds, and stands on it's own, it doesn't need to hang or anything. Arrows are very easy to remove. Also since it has a circular shape i estimate this thing lasting for many years. If you wear out one place of the foam just rotate it a little since the arrows only go half way through the foam. If anyone is interested in a roll let me know. Shipping shouldn't be too much. I am very happy with it.
