Yea guys I'm ready for that opening morning. I just wen out earlier today and put out another 100 lbs of corn, since the 100 I put out last week is gone. Going to top it off with 150 lbs next Tuesday for opening day. Good luck to everyone.

Also viper I got a question for you. I was looking at the solar lunar chart and I think the second day of season the minor and major feeding times over lap. Is this supposed to be a great time for hunting?

    Lunar Times 2nd Day
    NC8.... no over lap on the 2nd day. Major times will be 11:11am - 1:11pm, 11:38pm - 1:38 am Minor times are 5:00am - 6:00am, 5:22pm - 6:22pm.

I feel the minor moves are going to be the best times for hunting hours due to them being early morn and late afternoon, and Major times are hitting at mid=night and mid-day. Depending on where you hunt if you are deep in the woods near bedding areas or isolated areas I would bank on the most movement at mid day for hunting hours. Keep in mind the deer will be up at mid-night feeding the hardest.
For the majority of hunters the afternoon times will pay off because the sunrise here will be at 6:53am.....gonna have to be on the tree 2 hours early in the morning just to catch the tail end of the morning minor and not distrupt deer moving already. (deer might still be moving on summer pattern and still be crusing at sunrise)

    Thanks
Thanks Creek, I really hope to kill this buck and especially hope to close the deal opening day! I'm going to be in the stand as long as my body can take it. Or I'm debating staying until like 8:30-9 getting down then going back in around 10:30-11? Any suggestions? Good luck to you as well.

Viper it was the 13th, mine shows Major time 6:05-8:05 and minor is 8:31-9:31 both AM? Not overlapping but very close? Good AM hunt?

Stay on the tree until at least 2pm.
On the 13th the lunar times are:Major times 12:20am-2:20am, 12:24pm-2:34pm
The minor times are: 6:31-7:31am and 6:45-7:45pm.

Lunar tines are always roughly 6 hours apart. Major----minor----major----minor!

Monday the 12th and Tuesday the 13th are morning kill days in my opinion!

Humm, Viper, I wonder if the difference in our times are because we are a couple hours driving time away?

    Driving times!
Our distance should vary the times by no more than 5 or 6 minutues. Where are you getting your times? Some tables are generic for the East Coast. I use a Garmin GPS that gives times based on location! So my times will be a little different than yours!
