You'll never know if you're not out there hunting :)

But, to better your chances, definitely check out Viper's post about how deer's feeding patterns are based on the moon

    12 hour rule!
Deer feed on roughly a 6 hour cycle. 2 major feeds and 2 minor feeds. If you are seeing deer at 2 and 3 am then they are out at 2 or 3 pm. The things is this, is that a major or minor move time? Trust me when I say moving at 2or 3 on that day....are they in an open field probably not but they are moving somewhere in their home range.

I read that studies show the whitetail deer has a 5 square mile home range. Big area. But dominant bucks will confine themselves to a 1 square mile area during the rut. The only bucks that wonder are the young ones with the exception of a dominate that has already bread his 'homie' harem. He will then venture off but, this occurs in the post rut!

Just pulled one card on a camera. all i got was stinkin coons. does and yearing some around sunrise, then dusk. others between 10pm-4am. I think when the white oaks start dropn then I will paying a little more attention to those feeding times, since I will be on the stand anyway.lol
