    FUN FUN FUN
I had never tried 100 yards as you know but 80 yards is getting easier all the time. I think the amazing thing is even with the left to right cross wind breaking our shooting lane at the 50 yard mark our drift was only inches.
You can bet I'm making that 100 yard mark on my site permanent!

    x-bow 7 pointer
Hey GT you need this shot with that x-bow for that nice 7 pointer in your video!
When you're down range you can't even hear the arrow or the release of the bow until that thing hits target. It's wild!

    Great shooting but possibly unaffective?
This is indeed some great shooting. Hundred yards? Wow it's not easy to be stable enough to make that shot with a hunting bow. My only thing is taking a hundred yard shot with a compound is like taking a 40 yard shot with a long bow. If the deer jumps the string it's almost a guaranteed miss. That's if you would take a hundred yard bow shot...

    100 yds
Very nice shooting! My thought is at 100 yards a deer would be hit before the string noise got to him. No jumping the string?

    100 yard shot
First off I wouldn't attempt a 100 yard shot on a deer. There are too many factors and the biggest is the cross wind. I adjusted my second shot because the first missed by inches because of cross winds. The neat thing is as Inferno4me witnessed and I, is 100 yards down range you don't hear anything but thump when the arrow hits the target and you're standing at the impact site. Deer won't know it's coming.
The ballistics on my set up with the arrows I'm shooting, retains 51.6 lbs of kinetic energy at 100 yards. Legal draw weight for hunting whitetail is 35 pounds. At 100 yards my bow is stronger by 16.6 pounds than a 35 pound draw at point blank range, more than enough for a pass through.
Ethical hunting is different for every hunter. Practice, practice, practice and research and then practice again so you know your limits. What I have done I feel anyone with the right equipment and knowledge of that equipment, can do this too!

    I would agree
You said it...Practice practice practice. I can't even think of how many arrows I shot when I first got my bow before I decided to go into the woods. At least two weeks worth. I hate to think about leaving one wounded or hitting one with a gut shot. Though I am sure one day it will happen but I'll be devastated when it does. Which is why I lack respect for the old guy on the hunting channel who shoots only long bow and decides to sling arrows every chance he gets.Shooting low bow = Respect but making unethical shots is just silly. Anyways, good luck this season Viper at least you know if you can hit a 100 yards that 40 yard shot should be cake =)

Good luck to you too! In the early years a lost a couple. My thought I was crazy being out in the woods til after mid-night looking for them. I told her if they don't sleep I don't sleep! Everyone will loose one from time to time, it's part of it....but you are right it makes you sick!
