The Carolina Angler's Team Trail held their last CATT Qualifier on Santee this past Saturday with 34 teams showing up to fish. The tournament was held out of Black's Landing.

The winners of this event were Sumter's Jesse Williams and Richard Smith. They brought 5 bass in with a total weight of 23.83 lbs. Their sack included the 2nd place for big fish, a chunk weighing 7.19 lbs. The team took home $802.

Bob and Judy Whitgreave took 2nd place with a 5-fish limit weighing 22.59 lbs, which netted them a $400 paycheck.

Henry McFadden and Jeff Canty finished 3rd, but they were the highest finishing team in the Bonus Money, so they took home $700-almost as much as 1st place.

Every team in the top 10 had over 20 lbs total, and 10th place finishers Joey Fennell and Timmy Eller brought in the big fish of the day, a 7.28 lb. bucketmouth that won them $238.

The final for the Santee CATT Spring Trail will take place May 21st out of John C. Land Landing. This is CATT's 3rd year on Lake Santee and participation has increased every year. For more information on the Carolina Angler's Team Trail, visit www.catttrail.com.
