The 2011 RiverBassin' Tournament Trail kicks off this coming weekend with the tournament being held on Saturday, April 2nd. This trail is for human-powered watercraft and mainly consists of anglers fishing from kayaks and canoes.

The captain's meeting will take place at the Charlotte Bass Pro Shops Friday at 7 p.m. where rules will be discussed and measuring boards and photo identifiers will be handed out.

Anglers are allowed to fish any rivers within 100 miles of the Charlotte, NC Bass Pro Shops. This trail follows the CPR (Catch, Photo, Release) format and all black bass species are eligible.

With the 100 mile radius limit, anglers will fish as far north as Galax, VA and as far south as the Wateree River in Camden, SC.

The entry fee for the tournament is $60 per angler, or $100 per team of two. For the weigh-in (or slide show), participants must return to the Charlotte Bass Pro Shops Saturday by 4:30 p.m.

The RiverBassin' Tournament Trail will feature 15 stops in 2011, including the Charlotte one as well as two in Georgia and two in Virginia. To find out how you can fish the trail, visit www.riverbassintrail.com.

Seems like $60 clams is a lot to register.
Plus you have to go to Bass Pro and blow who knows how much - LOL.
