hey everyone! i'm a new user on ncsportsman and looking to connect/learn from all the pros out there! most of my experience has revolved around freshwater and pier fishing. i'm hoping to become an avid inshore fisherman and looking for all the help i can get. good luck to everyone out there this year!

Inshore fishing is easier than say pier fishing because you can move around a good bit more to locate bait, or to catch a fish. Since the guides are on the water 365 days a year, you can find great inshore reports on our forum pretty much all year round.

thanks for the bit of info Jeff, i'll be sure to keep the reports checked as i plan my fishing trips. do you recommend any specific resources for fishing the topsail island/sneads ferry area?

    Inshore Fishing sources
There are some great guides in the Sneads Ferry/topsail area and that would be a great way to shorten the learning curve. It sure beats going out and not having a clue where to go. If you look under the businesses section in the guides there are some listed there.

Also, NC Sportsman is having a fishing school on March 19th in Wilmington. The schools have always been very informative and are a great way to interact with other fishermen. Some of the instructors are guides that fish the Topsail area. I think there is an ad on the website here for the school.

    Hope this helps!

wildLIFEwarrior, I work out of that area and will be speaking on the 19th in Wilmington. Right now the red drum are in the creeks, look for the deeper holes. I think I have an ad on here somewhere...:)
