Chad B, My only experience with game land was when i first came here from West V. and was told about Alcoa Game land. Everyone said you gotta get there early so i did...and walked several hundred yards to my spot and only seen 1 other guy...Well at first light i hear some guy coughing then i smell cigarettes, Well when it got light enough to see good,I felt like i was sitting in a pumpkin patch with all the orange around me and i said 'Dear Lord, Please let me make it back to my truck and they wont ever see me again' And i never went back...Good Luck and sorry i wasn't much help for ya.

    Gameland time
Thanks Gobbiln Tom. Lol yes I Know exactly What You Mean. This Is My 4TH Year Hunting On Gameland, ive had guys walk in on me even in the real hard to get to spots, the last hr Or 2 After Hunting All Day. But This Is My First Season Hunting On Jordan Gameland, MOST OF The time im alone because i hunt on the week day and also hunt the out of way terrain. I Normaly Have real Good Luck, I Harvest noless then 3 deer per season, so i cant complain. But Im One of Those Few Hardcore gameland hunters, who like to be the first to arrive. ive got no problem Hunting with others has long as where all spaced out, (30)acres) per hunter would be Ideal and safe.Going to hunt Butner falls the last two days of gun season, to try last time at a doe or two. Thanks. Merry Christmas to You.

Merry Christmas to you Chad...Wanted to share a crazy gameland story with ya. I go in by boat and Turkey hunt a secret place or so i thought it was a secret and a few years ago i'm set up and i start hearing another (Hen)...so i start calling back to it real aggressive trying to p her off and come to me with her long spurred Boyfriend...well after about 15 minutes of silence i hear them coming, I ease around and sure enough i see that big Red/white/and Blue head slipping through the woods. I take SAFETY OFF and start following it thinking...'Gosh is that turkey drunk?' the way it was wobbling around, Then i see 2 guys crotch-ed down and the lead guy has a Full Strut Gobbler Decoy...still on the stake coming through the woods and his buddy behind him has the hen decoy....Man let me tell you...They never seen a bad Red-neck side of someone like they did that day...I mean i lost it telling them how freaking Stupid they was and how close they came to dying right there!!! It scared the crap out of me and call me a wussy but i sat down and cried after they left...I was a second from shooting that decoy...It looked that real...They was coming to my calling thinking what i was thinking about them but i would never leave my position without orange.....CRAZY

    Turkey decoys
What In The World Where they Thinking? That was not smart. Im Glad You didnt Pepper them with turkey Load! I Hunt Turkey on Caswell Gameland unless i draw a permit for bunter-falls. I Use Decoys, but i flag my tree with blaze orange. I Love Using decoys For bow deer season, and have had real good luck, but One Time i watched a guy walk about 30 Yards from my doe decoy draw his bow and shot my decoy, i didnt say anything because i didnt think he would shoot it, lol i was wrong. when he walked up after shooting the decoy when he was about to pull the arrow out i Looked down at him and said Hey man nice shot, to bad it wasnt a real doe, then we both started laughing and became friends after that. But using decoys on publicland can be dangerous, So Ive cut back my decoy use on heavy hunted days.

    WOW
Man Thats a great story LOL...I had a guy walk up on my set-up once and stick his hand in my deer Cok-cane and start smelling it lol I was sitting right above him but didn't want to startle him because he had a pistol on his side, This was during bow season and he hunted the next property over...When he seen me he bout jumped out of his boots and started apologizing and i started laughing...It was crazy...Not as Crazy as those Turkey hunters though LOL
