The Jocassee Gorges Map and Driving Tour is now available with funding from the Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund and published by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

This map is the most comprehensive map available for the 33,500-acre Jim Timmerman Natural Resources Area at Jocassee Gorges in Northern Pickens and Oconee counties. This map also shows game lands, portions or all of Table Rock, Devils Fork, and Keowee-Toxaway state parks in South Carolina, and Gorges State Park in North Carolina.

On the flip side of the map is “Driving the Jocassee Gorges,” an 18-stop driving tour beginning at the Jocassee Gorges Visitor Center at Keowee-Toxaway State Natural Area on S.C. Scenic Highway 11 in Pickens County. The publication also features sections on access and overlooks, bird -watching, botanical areas, camping, educational opportunities, fishing, hiking, hunting, resource management, and wildlife.

Copies of the Jocassee Gorges Map and Driving Tour are available at the Clemson or Columbia DNR offices, Devils Fork State Park, Table Rock State Park, and Gorges State Park in Sapphire, N.C.
