  • Heart Shot Doe VIDEO

Thought that you guys and gals might be interested in this video. I've been arguing with friends that the closer deer are the more likely they are to jump the string. I filmed by Dad on a bowhunt in Central NC this past weekend. This doe was right at 15 yards. We were in a ground level blind. He knows to aim low, especially at close distances. You can't tell on the fast play really how this all plays out, but in the slow mo, you can see that he was well under her and she dropped right into the shot. Well placed by the old man! Enjoy the video and for more like it, go to http://www.youtube.com/backyardbowpro .

    nice work
I agree with the close range, low-shot. You can actually see the blood gushing from her side on the way out of the yard. nice camera work. what kind of camera are you using?

    Well Placed shot!
Good shot and great camera work. I always say when practicing if you're consistently shooting a little low, That's a good thing don't fix it and your video shows why.

    camera
Hello....i'm using a Canon HF S-20. You can view the package at http://www.campbellcameras.com under Whitetail packages. I have a few upgrades from what they show there, but, for the most part, this is the cam. If you like this video, you can view more at http://www.youtube.com/backyardbowpro

    torn up
Hey Gobblintom....you're probly right about the Heavy Breathin'...and whats so funny is that breathing was ME on the camera! I was way more torn up over that doe than my old man and this was his first ever deer with a bow! Something about being behind the cam trying to capture that hunt had me freaked out....glad that i was able to hold it together for him! And...he's shooting PSE
