    Beautiful!
Absolutely awesome buck!! Good luck harvesting him, I know that I would probably fall out of my treestand if that big boy walked up on me!! I must say that he is very impressive. If he is in NC then I will say that people who don't believe NC has big deer should think again. I have been very impressed with all the deer seen so far this year and I think that QDMA is finally taking hold in the state. Just hope it continues to improve.

That's 150 inches of antler, easy. South Carolina Sportsman.com will have a story in the next day or two of a 156-inch buck killed Labor Day.

    LUNAR TIMES
The Lunar Times on August 2nd,2010 where 5:03am -7:03am. I'd say he's pretty much in the window. Plus it looks like a secluded area. If deer aren't pressured they will sick pretty close to the Lunar Times.
Major moves are plus or minus 1 hour!

Hey Viper is there a free site to the lunar tables for NC on the net anywhere?

The North Carolina Sportsman Magazine publishes each month in the magazine. The only one I find is www.espnoutdoors.com. But it's based on the mid-west and you have to convert it.

    Majors and Minors for Opener
Anyone know the major and minors for this Saturday and Sunday?
    Reply
    Major /Minor times
Here they are and they're not pretty / favorable! We are closets to the New Moon witch is good but on a downward cycle. In fact the cycle bottoms out on Saturday and get this, holds low until Monday the 20th.
Because of the early move times in the am I would suggest hunting the woods and not fields.
Saturday the Major Times are:2:18-4:18am and 2:38-4:38pm Minor times are 8:29-9:29am and 8:49-9:49pm.
Remember these times and write them down because each day the times advance by 55 minutes.

    Really in NC?
Not doubting anyone's word but...bagboy jumps on the scene with a picture of a 150+ deer and vanishes? This will be the 16th comment around this photo and after being asked several times...What county?..........Nothing...I did see that the pic is in the contest stating Caswell Co. and at the time is without a doubt the most impressive one, IN MY OPINION...However If this is a True NC deer, i would think he would keep us posted with more than just 1 pic. Now i know Viper will suggest hes keeping it on the down-low and you can't blame him but before i cast my vote...i would like more details...I would like nothing more than to see bagboy with this deer on the ground in NC...Am i the only one that thinks its strange that a contest starts and a titanic deer shows up on the users first post???I mean the prize is only a camera and the Web is full of monster photo pics...hope i didn't strike a nerve with anyone but I'm just curious

    County??
I agree with GT- As you can see I was the first post and ask that question “what county”? This deer has got the same beams and looks like a Deer behind my property in Anson County. This deer is no doubt a 160 deer—and would like to see a side view. The one own my property I never posted last year however when he does I will. He grew so much last year I expect him to be nothing less than a 165-170 class.(Viper has a chance to get him the 2nd week of October) Bagboys let’s see another pic!!! I am with G Tom!!When a deer shows up for the first time he will come back. Not just vanish. I have seen deer show up at different times of year then vanish but not just one time—I am voting for you bag boy however I will be let down if this is a fake. Lets see another view--- county?????? Side view??? CREEK

Hey Man, Hows it going? Glad someone is on my side for once. Man with deer of this caliber walking around...its not like bagboy could get any sleep lol. As far as your place in Anson...WOW a Booner deer...I wish you guys the best...This deer here is a buck of a lifetime and its not like we want to punch the address into our GPS...I just want to give credit where credit is due...By the way...been watching about 16 Turkeys each morning behind the shop at work and 1 is a bearded hen and 1 mature Gobbler with I'm guessing a 9 inch beard, the others are young...take care and Good Luck

I am with ya, I mean .. I understand about keeping the deer on the DL, but if you just tell the county, if nothing else it at least shows proof and shows that NC can grow huge bucks!

Hey man, Hows it going? Ready for Sat? Like i stated...dont want to doubt anyones word. My point is this...The pic states Aug.2 and nearly a month later it pops up in a contest, then No further word???? I know first hand how people get tore up over a nice deer. I can only hope that this deer is in NC to get us on the charts. Like i said people love to talk about big deer...wouldn't it be nice if they were talking about NC for once!!! ANYONE can copy and paste a photo...i only hope thats not the case here or my vote will go elsewhere....Take care man

Things here are Great! I am ready for sat.. so I can starting seeing all the big deer that will be posted here!.. I'll miss Bow Season again this year!, I agree with you 100 percent.. It was like when the Kid killed the Buck in Bladen County.. back in 08.. had North Carolina Sportsman not carried that story.. or had I not heard about it from people down there, I would of called Bull Droppings, but.. it had proof that it was an NC kill, I just hope this deer is real and that we hear more about it!

look man, i don't want to call anybody out but if you look at this deer...where are the legs? they just seem to disappear!

    I have to agree
The deer kinda looks posted in. The back legs look like they just fade away. And another thing, I know it may be hard to tell but those antler look really pointed. They don't look very furry like they are velvet covered. I don't ever remember seeing a deer at the begining of august that had already shed velvet. As far as the contest goes I would say that is easy. To me deer entered in the september contest should be from september of this yr. Not august or earlier months or yrs. Afterall you can't enter september killed bucks in the october bag a buck contest.

    Looks real to me
Boys, I've got to tell you that the photo doesn't look Photoshoped. I have the ability to look at the original file, and the legs and feet are clearly visible to the ground. If it's Photoshopped, it's one of the best jobs I've seen.

Here's the deal, though: We don't know if it's a NC deer or not. We just have to take bagboy's word for it, just like everyone else's. Why hasn't he defended the picture? Maybe he hasn't had time to log on, or perhaps he's not into fighting on forums.

We certainly don't want discourage anyone from posting, so let's tone it down a bit. I have to say that I write stories all the time about monster bucks that weren't seen at all even though cameras were set out all over the property, so I don't find it all that unusual that the buck hasn't come back. But who knows: Bagboy might have other images of the deer.

If you're out there watching, bagboy, come on back and talk to us. And we definitely want to see the photo if you bag this bad boy (pardon the twisting of your alias).

    Andy's right
I took the image and saved it like some of y'all have done and if you adjust the color and saturation of it you can pull the color of the legs out in contrast with the rest of the image showing that they are actually there. And as for how many pictures he may have of this buck it could just be the one. I had a nice 8 point last winter appear on camera once. I had never seen him before and haven't seen him since. With this being said just because he has one picture of it does not mean he didn't actually get the photo. Just thought I'd add my two cents.

    Hunting Reports?
I thought this fourm was 'hunting reports'. Maybe after tomorrow we can all discuss actual hunting reports, instead of trying to figure out if some picture is real. Sorry if I offended you, but stick to the subject.

Just the question of the trail cam contest. If a picture is taken in the a month other than september or another year it isn't elible to be voted on for the september trail cam contest right. That only makes sense. You can't enter bucks from other years and months in the bag a buck contest. Just looking for some clarification on the rules of the contest. Thanks
