I brought this home yesterday from the Taxidermist. These two turkeys were killed in the Spring of 2009. Me and my wife were so pumped to kill our first turkeys on opening day. Big Al from Beulaville, NC mounted them. He did a fantastic job. Hopefully we will lay the smack down on a couple more this year.

    Wow
That is a cool mount, DCB. Certainly haven't seen anything like it. Pretty neat that they represent birds you and your wife killed.

Be sure and keep us updated on the season.

Yeah man the taxidermist said it was the first one he has done and as far as he know the only one around where I live so that is pretty cool. We are ready for it so I will keep you posted. Good luck to you as well.

Thanks man!! It was expensive but it was our first turkeys so I thought it would be awesome to do them this way. We have a 20 month old son that we are trying to keep it out of his reach right now. Will have to keep it off the floor for now. I will let Al know what you thought. That's cool about the double bearded bird. That would have been special but there always this year... Good luck to you as well.

That's funny man!! She may have to wait for the midday hunt lol. Everyone around that I have shown it to believe they are really fighting and alive. I have had 3 people ask me how I got so close to fighting turkeys to take a picture. Anyway, good luck to you and hopefully we will have some new pics to post...

I heard the first gobbles of the year for me this week. I have been watching several groups for the last month but they have not been that vocal. They are starting up now though. It is suppose to be 87 here Friday so they are getting in gear. That is so funny about your G/F. My wife is the same way when it comes to me Deer and Turkey hunting. I am sure the birds made it.... lol.

You are right about the Boss thing for sure. At least least she thinks she is anyway. Yeah, I got a new Hoyt last year. I would imagine that if it would have been under the covers with me, I would have been awaken by it slamming into my head. She is still getting there but only time will tell....
