I have hunted so hard this year with the hopes a nice buck would show himself. Caught sight of a real nice buck on three different occasions on my lease in Davie County. The shot would never present itself. Frustrated and aggravated I remembered how my 13 year old son missed three deer two years in a row and decided to take him this past Saturday, the 28th of November. Forget the big buck, I will never forget the hunt where my son's bad luck ended. After getting to the stand and watching the frost melt off the corn field, we finally saw the doe running right to the stand, and after a quick grunt with my mouth, she stopped and offered him a broadside shot at fourty yards. After a little coaching to calm the nerves he squeezed the 270 like a pro and 15 yards later we had a true trophy that would compare to any buck that could have walked out. Remember to take your kids hunting so you won't have to hunt for your kids!! He is already planning the next trip and I am more excited than him. Good Hunting - Big Don

    Nice Job
Way to go young man, I know that this is just one of many that will fall to your dedication to the great outdoors and I promise you that you will never forget that first kill...I know its hard when your 13 and your about to take the life of a animal...but think about all the city kids holding up their pants with one hand and carrying their Skateboard with the other, that will never be able to experiance what you have...your a SPORTSMAN and this is what we do...since you broke the ice, I hope they come like bananas for you for as long as you chase'em and even if this deer did have a huge rack,I bet your smile would have covered it up...Aim true...be safe and...Kill'em as GOD sends'em

    Outstanding !
Nice doe, no doubt about it. Frankly, I would pass up many of the bucks I've seen this season to get a doe that looks that good! Congatulations, and enjoy the tacos, burgers, steaks, roasts, chili, spaghetti...
