Catch a redfish, win a Sea Hunt boat in 2020 CCA STAR

CCA STAR
South Carolina's 2020 CCA STAR tournament will run from July 1 through Oct. 14.

CCA STAR tournament lasts 101 days

CCA South Carolina is holding their third consecutive STAR nonprofit saltwater tournament. And the grand prize is a Sea Hunt BX 22 BR bay boat with a Yamaha 150 motor and Wesco aluminum trailer. The package retails for more than $43,000.

How do you win? It’s easy! The first two anglers to catch a 2020 CCA STAR-tagged redfish will each win one of the Sea Hunt boat packages. The catch is, you have to be registered to win. In at least two cases in the past couple of years, an angler caught one of the tagged redfish, but failed to win the prize because they were not registered. Don’t let that happen to you!

This year’s tournament runs from July 1 through Oct. 14, giving anglers 101 days of fishing competition.

Don’t make a $43,000 mistake!

Leading up to the tournament, CCA South Carolina staff will catch, tag, and release 60 redfish. They’ll do this from Little River to Hilton Head, and everywhere in between. So no matter what part of the Palmetto State’s coast you fish, you’ve got a shot at catching a winning redfish.

CCA’s STAR tournament focuses on attracting people to the Palmetto State’s outstanding coast and the important work of conservation, protection, and stewardship of the state’s coastal resources. These are all cornerstones of CCA South Carolina’s mission. The tournament gets families on the water, and helps educate both angler and non-angler alike on the role CCA plays in these significant efforts.

Everyone loves to catch fish. It always brings a smile to their face. At least it should, but it can quickly turn to disappointment under the right (or wrong) circumstances. Don’t let your smile turn upside down by realizing your tagged fish is worthless. Don’t make a $43,000 mistake this summer! Click here to register now.
