Allen Michael Smith’s Alamance County trophy buck

After letting this buck walk in 2019 not thinking he would ever make anything big, in May of 2020 he showed up. And by august, I knew he was a shooter. After him disappearing in late September and showing a few times in October, I knew it was going to be hard.

But starting the second week of November, he was chasing all over my farm. Nov. 22, I went to the stand hunting a different buck not thinking I would see him since he had been nocturnal for the last week.

At 3:35 p.m., he jumped the creek checking the area with the help of raw frozen deer urine he came in thinking something was in his territory. He came to 35 yards, and I drew back and let an arrow fly. When he took off, I knew he was smoked. I seen him crash 60 yards from where I shot him. This deer would not be what he made it to without the help of Jeff Wright Minerals.
