Laney Horne wins Photo of the Week for first week of November 2020

Laney Horne of Monroe, N.C. is the Carolina Sportsman photo contest winner for the first week of November, 2020. Laney’s dad, Dustin Horne, sent us the photo of her posing with the 11-point buck she shot in Anson County on Nov. 2.

It’s the first deer she has ever shot at with a muzzleloader. The main frame 9-point buck had two kickers and weighed 190 pounds.

The young huntress shot the buck from 50 yards away at 5:15 p.m., dropping it in its tracks.

Congratulations to Laney on killing her big buck, and for winning Photo of the Week!
