How would you like to go to one place and see all the new shallow water fishing tackle and boats, and learn techniques from some of the top anglers in the country? You can do it all Feb. 27-28 at the Shallow Water Fishing Expo hosted by Haddrell's Point Tackle of Mt. Pleasant.

The Expo will be held at the Omar Shrine Temple at 176 Patriots Point Road in Mt. Pleasant, and the event runs on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m, and again on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Among the presenters are Ricky Murphy of Sportsman's Adventures, Bob Clouser of Clouser Minnow, Linda Heller of Temple Fork Outfitters, and Mark Nichols of D.O.A. Lures.

This is a family event, so feel free to bring the kids, who will have plenty of activities available. Parking is free, and children 12 and under get in free. General admission is $5, and includes raffle tickets.

Part of the proceeds of the Expo will benefit the Coastal Conservation Association of South Carolina.

Whether you want to learn more about fly fishing in the flats, using mud minnows to catch flounder in the shallows, or catching trout and redfish on soft plastic lures, this is the place for you to be.
