South Carolina Sportsman’s Bag-A-Buck contest will return this week. The contest, which will be run on, allows readers to enter photos of deer they harvest in monthly contests, the winners of which will be determined by drawing.

Contests will run Aug. 15-Sept. 30, Oct. 1-31, Nov. 1-30 and Dec. 1-Jan. 1. Monthly winners will receive a $25 gift certificate to the magazine’s Outdoor Store and a year’s subscription to South Carolina Sportsman.

The winner of the grand prize — a one-day hunt for two people donated by Cherokee Run Hunting Lodge in Chesterfield County — will be drawn randomly from among all readers who enter the contest and presented at the Palmetto Sportsmen’s Classic next March in Columbia.

Hunters wishing to enter will click on the Bag-A-Buck Contest link on and upload photos and information about their kill. The contest is open to hunters who subscribe to South Carolina Sportsman magazine.

“We are thrilled to have the Bag-A-Buck Contest back for our readers again,” said Dan Kibler, the magazine’s managing editor. “It has been exciting for us every year to see some of the deer taken in South Carolina.”
