Jerry Gregory and the crew of the Double J certainly didn't mind how the postponement of the Beaufort Water Festival King Mackerel Tournament worked out.

Gregory and crew won the event, postponed for a week until July 6 by the weather, with a 34.8-pound king mackerel, and Gregory also won Top Senior Angler honors in the Southern Kingfish Association Division 3 event.

Capt. Robert Wiggins and the crew of the Rock Doc scaled a 30.7-pound king and finished second, earning Top Junior Angler honors for Tyler Kesler and Top Lady Angler honors for Holly Kesler.

The third-largest king was the 30.6-pounder caught by Capt. Kevin O'Neale and his crew on the In 2 Deep. The fish also won the Top Small Boat division. Scott Pope and the crew of the Tall Tail caught a 30.5-pound king mackerel to earn third place overall.
