Hart's total weight of 7.78 pounds was good for $281, and it put him in position to qualify for the October ABA Nationals.
Hart fished mostly main-lake points and used a combination of soft plastics, spinnerbaits and topwater plugs to catch his five fish.
Lucio Marroquin of Savannah, Ga. came in second place with two fish weighing 4.66 pounds to win $160. Ridgeland angler Barry Descaro's three fish weighed 2.18, earning him a third-place finish, followed by Greenwood's Monte Misplay with 2.16 and Bluffton's Sean Murphy with 1.96. Marroquin had the day's big fish, a 2.54-pound bass.
On Lake Keowee, Ed Singleton of Anderson took top honors in the Carolina Hookers first July tournament with five fish weighing 12.04 pounds; he pocketed $350. Fellow Anderson angler Rick Spencer's 11.60-pound stringer was good for second place and $260, followed by Dan Jackson of Buford, Ga. in third with 10.78. Jackson caught the tournament's big fish, a 3.75-pounder.
