The contest, presented by Leupold, includes four monthly prize drawings for $25 gift certificates to the online Sportsman Outdoor Store and free one-year South Carolina Sportsman magazine subscriptions.
And everyone who enters is eligible for the grand-prize drawing for a Leupold optics package, a blackpowder rifle and a two-man hunt.
The contest opened Aug. 15; the first "monthly" contest will run from Aug. 15-Sept. 30, and subsequent contests will run in October, November and December before the grand-prize winner is drawn and he or she receives his prize at the Palmetto Sportsman's Classic in Columbia next March.
To enter, visit www.SouthCarolinaSportsman.com and click on the contest link, fill out the entry form and upload a digital photo of you and your deer, along with a short description of the successful hunt: where and when the deer was killed, and any other important information about the animal.
You must be a registered user of the site to enter: Registration is free.
Photos of all entrants will be galleried and available for viewing throughout the contest.
The grand-prize winner, drawn at random from all entries, will receive a Leupold optics package that includes a rifle scope, a pair of binoculars and a rangefinder; a blackpowder rifle from Nichols Store in Rock Hill, and a two-man, one-day hunt at Cherokee Run Hunting Lodge in Chesterfield.
