South Carolina and Georgia have entered into a new reciprocal licensing agreement that will take effect on July 1.

The two states will honor fishing licenses along the Savannah River from Lake Hartwell downstream to Clarks Hill Lake and beyond.

In addition, Georgia will recognize new fishing regulations passed by the South Carolina legislature earlier this year, including:

* A daily creel limit of 10 striped bass or hybrid bass or combination on Lakes Hartwell and Clarks Hill, only three may be over 26 inches;

* A daily creel limit for trout of 5;

* A daily creel limit for white bass of 10.
